CMS IntelliCAD CAD Software Cloud Application Streaming

August 19th, 2010 - Bryant, Arkansas, USA. CMS, Inc. has just introduced the latest and most advanced application streaming technology into the CAD industry. We are probably the first CAD company widely providing this technology.

You can now quickly load and seamlessly run CMS IntelliCAD STD directly from our website domain, without the need to install it, and without any significant performance degradation.

We believe that common cloud technology, i.e., typically running a software inside a browser window, has some important barriers still difficult to crossover, specially with CAD applications. Manly they are internet connection speed and performance, file security and availability.

With the technology we are now providing, you are basically downloading key portions of our software that enables it to start running, and remaining features are loaded only when required. At the moment, we are just allowing our software to be loaded from our website, but it's already prepared for offline mode, i.e., IntelliCAD stream will be hosted on your drive or any mobile drive. Always without needing to install our software.

You will always keep your files where they have always been. Contrary to the standard cloud technology concept, with CMS IntelliCAD and Cloud Streaming technology you will never need to upload your files to a cloud server, and so you will have them always available and secured!

That's right, you can even run it from here!

Feel free to run and try it now! Click on the green start button.

We have just added new product to our catalog. CMS IntelliConvert supports these required features:

  • Easy to use Stand-alone application - No other software is required.
  • Converts DWG to DXF, and DXF to DWG files. Batch conversion is supported.
  • DWG/DXF file version converter.

This software tool can be downloaded and used for trial purposes. It's freely included with new CMS IntelliCAD 6.6 purchases, or purchased separately for $51.95

DWG is a Autodesk trademark, and it's referred here as file extension that CMS IntelliConvert is able to process.

IntelliCAD 7 Beta2 Release: Work Smarter and Faster with a Brand New Architecture

Portland, OR., USA, February 9, 2010 – The IntelliCAD Technology Consortium (ITC) today announced a Beta2 release for ITC members (such as CMS, Inc.) of the all-new IntelliCAD 7 CAD software incorporating a new software architecture designed to optimize the core data import/export and application programming functions critical to users of the IntelliCAD CAD platform. The IntelliCAD 7 architecture uses DWGdirect™ from the Open Design Alliance (ODA) as its internal database for improved handling of DWG files. For companies building custom applications, IntelliCAD 7 also offers the powerful DRX object oriented application programming language (API) developed by the Open Design Alliance (ODA) with custom IRX extensions specific to the IntelliCAD platform.

The IntelliCAD platform, combined with ITC member solutions is being used by thousands of companies for creating engineering and design documents from the simplest 2D room design to the most complex 3D plant construction and BIM analysis. The new enhancements to the core IntelliCAD product offer architects and engineers an enhanced user experience through an improved user interface, more efficient drawing handling and improved product quality.

Companies building design automation applications on top of IntelliCAD will appreciate the DRX/IRX API to create sophisticated commands and industry-specific custom objects that interact intelligently with other objects according to their properties.  DRX and the IRX extensions provide the ability to create complex applications with custom objects similar to the Autodesk® ObjectARX® API. The unique IRX extensions offer special cursor handlers, specialized editing functions, document and layout managers and custom printing and plotting interfaces.

The new IntelliCAD 7 geometry subsystem improves graphic quality and supports a variety of graphic display devices. The extensive quality, performance and functional improvements to the IntelliCAD 7 product extends the decade long IntelliCAD tradition of incorporating new enhancements specifically requested by its members.
